Pointed Mill Files

The tapered mill file is a hand tool used for cutting and grinding applications. It is made from T12 high-carbon tool steel with a carbon content of 1.15%–1.25% (equivalent to 1095, Cr06, or 130Cr2). The product hardness ranges from HRC60 to HRC65. It is suitable for sharpening blades, cutting and repairing metal workpieces, and surface leveling. The product is manufactured in compliance with GB 5803–5815, National Standard/T 806, U.S. Standard GGG-F-325b, and European Standard DIN 6261–7285.Manufacturing processes include hot forging, grinding, toothing, hardening, and surface sandblasting.

Usage and Maintenance

The file must be used with a properly fitted handle. The pull strength between the file and the handle should exceed 20 kg. Operators must wear safety goggles and protective gloves while using the file.
