The aluminum half-round file is a hand tool used for cutting and grinding aluminum workpieces. It is manufactured from T12 carbon tool steel containing 1.15%–1.25% carbon (equivalent to 1095, Cr06, 130Cr2). The product achieves a hardness of HRC60–65 and is suitable for cutting and grinding metals and hard non-metallic materials with hardness below HRC***. Production complies with GB 5803-5815, National Standard/T 806, American Standard GGG-F-325b, and European Standard DIN6261-7285. The files are produced through processes such as hot forging, grinding, tooth milling, quenching, and surface sandblasting.
Product Features
1. Abrasive tool for copper, aluminum, hard plastics, and soft metals
2. Made from T12 carbon tool steel
3. Hardness > HRC60
Usage and Maintenance
When using the file, it must be fitted with a handle, and the tensile strength between the handle and the file should exceed 20 kg. Operators must wear safety goggles and gloves. During operation, the file should be held horizontally with both hands and pushed forward onto the workpiece. The file should not be used in reverse and must not be used to process ultra-hard materials. After use, the file surface should be cleaned thoroughly and stored safely in a dry tool bag.
